Backstage Happy Hour
In honor of my Seahawks not only making the playoffs, but also beating the defending super bowl champ Saints last weekend, I figured it only appropriate to do today’s happy hour post on LA’s Seahawks bar: Backstage.
This is where I spent last Saturday, donning my Lofa Tatupu jersey, screaming at the top of my lungs, and downing $15 pitchers of Newcastle. This is where I will spend this Sunday morning watching the Seahawks (hopefully) destroy the Bears (hey we’ve done it before, we can do it again, right?)
On top of being the LA home of the 12th man, Backstage also has a rad happy hour:
.
Daily, 4pm – 8pm
$2 Domestic Beers, $3 Cocktails, 1/2 Priced Apps
.
Doesn’t get much better than $2 beers for four straight hours. Plus the food, as I drunkely recall, is pretty decent (they claim on their website to not use freezers or microwaves.) Just your typical bar food menu (nachos, burgers, fries) but done better than you’d expect from this dive bar…. And I say dive with the utmost affection.
.
Now if only they could extend happy hour to 9am Sunday morning for when I arrive to watch the game. It seems almost sadistic not to…

PS Don’t forget about their awesome karaoke nights!

OMG! Backstage is one of my most favorite bars in all of LA. The vibe there is so laid back and chill that it can’t be beat. Service is good — even when the place is packed. How do they do that!? Thursday night karaoke with KJ Shane is not to be missed. Look for me to be singing Boom Boom Pow! hahaha!
The food is more than just “pretty decent”! It’s actually damn good bar food. I eat there quite often. Definitely try the Spicy Ranch Chicken Swiss sandwich, it’s amazing. Sunday night trivia with the World Famous Supreme Team (Tom and Karin) is the best trivia night in LA. I don’t work there, I promise, I just spend a lot of my non-working hours there!
