Beer+Cheese Pairings TONIGHT at AOC
For some reason, whenever I drink beer, I crave cheese.

In reality, that statement is a BIT misleading, as I pretty much always crave cheese, regadless of the booze I’m drinking. But the hankering does get pretty aggressive after downing a cold one.
Which cheese depends on which beer. For my favorite Great White? I might like that with some Manchego. For a 3am can(s) of Bud Light? A jack+mozarella string cheese is the perfect match. Really my palette is not refined enough to know what goes with what, it just knows that beer and cheese make sense together.
For those palletes that also love the beer+cheese pairing, but, much like me, need a bit of palette training, AOC is holding a beer+cheese tasting tonight. Just $15 gets you three Deschutes beers paired with three of their best cheeses. The event runs from 6-9pm and you can make ressies by calling 323-653-6359.
Something about really fancy cheese just seems so wonderfully extravagant. And a good beer (or three) from the PNW ain’t a bad thing either. Definitely a worthwhile event if you lack plans, or have easily changeable ones, tonight.
