Sunday Suppers @ Lexington Social House

April 18, 2012

We don’t know exactly why but we just love, love, love supper deals – the ease of a fixed menu, the wallet friendly pricing – there’s much to be said for a simple meal with friends that doesn’t require much effort (or expenditure).  There are a number of choices around town if you’re in the mood to wrangle up your friends for a good meal – Dominick’s/Little Dom’s, Eva, Cecconi’s, Della Terra – the options are almost endless.  And, starting this Sunday, April 22, there’s another one to add to the list: Lexington Social House.

This weekend Lexington Social House is debuting their Sunday Supper deal, which will run every Sunday going forward from 4:30pm til 10:30pm.  The 3-course meal will run $25 per person and will feature your choice of side, main and dessert.   This week’s menu:

  • Starter: Spring Pea Soup with Smoked Bacon OR Marinated Florida White Shrimp with Spicy Buttermilk Dressing and Pickled Black Trumpet Mushrooms
  • Main: Pan-Roasted Local Fish with Grilled Asparagus and ‘Dirty’ Risotto OR Anson Mills Yellow Grits with Kale, Goat Cheese and Preserved Lemon
  • Dessert: Pineapple Upside Down Cake with Salted Caramel Ice Cream

To take your meal from great to amazing, LSH is also serving up fried chicken specials every Sunday, diners can add fried chicken buckets to their suppers starting at $24 for 8 pieces.  A 3-course meal with a bucket of fried chicken is basically how I’d like to end every weekend from now on.

In other exciting and important news, I’d like to wish a very drunk+fat+happy birthday to the other half of FinerThingsLA – K!

Hope every hour of today is a happy hour (after all, it is 5 o’clock somewhere!)
