Mel & Rose + Veuve Clicquot
Veuve will always hold a special place in our hearts. It has been there for nearly every holiday, celebration, and many a lazy bubbly Sunday, in our lives. Yes, we have tasted many, dare we say, better (and sometimes less expensive) champagnes over the years, but something about that crisp taste and gorgeous yellow label gets us every time.
That is why this tasting, at our favorite local wine store to boot, is HIGH on our priority list this week:

If you have not been to Mel & Rose before, this is the perfect excuse to scope it out. Every time step we step inside our eyes grow wide ala kids in a candy store – such a large selection of interesting wines, bubbly, and boozes. Its really rather fantastic (and within walking distance of our homes!)
There are also interesting European and Asian candies, crackers, cookies, and a small deli set up serving delicious sandwiches that you can enjoy while people watching in their front cafe.
And yes, this Friday there will be Veuve. So you really have no excuse NOT to go. That is, unless you move too slowly to snag a spot at the tasting. Space is limited so move like the wind ye gluttunous classy drinkers!
