Presidential Debate Parteees
Well, these parties all seem like a potential disaster.
Crowded rooms filled with passionate peoples + the presidential debate + discounted booze. We sense there will be a lot of heated (and intoxicated) discussions going on as a result. As a general rule, we try to keep politics off the topic-table when we’re drinking… it rarely ends well. And yet we still love the idea of these parties and encourage all to attend and participate in our nation’s democracy. Regardless of what side you are for, it will do you good to listen to some old dudes talk about their “plans” for the country (aka pander to their parties and the moderate voters) while you bask in the glory of living in a free nation with cheap drinks.
DOWNTOWN:
The Association / Viewing: 6-7:3pm, Doors open at 5:30pm / Deals: Customized Presidential cocktail specials and Social Hours Menu from 6-9pm featuring $5 Craft Beers, $5 Small Plates and $6 Signature Cocktails. Debate will be shown on 3 50″ TVs. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED…. Click here on this handy Barack Obama web page to RSVP (yes, even if you are of the elephant variety, or the amorphous donkey+elephant+plant variety, you should still click here to RSVP)
HOLLYWOOD-ISH
Next Door Lounge / Viewing party runs during the standard debate hours of 6-7:30pm / During the party they will be offering $4 Classic Martinis, which remind us more of Bond than either Romney (he’s Mormon so must be sober) or Obama (he seems to prefer beer), but we’ll go with it. They also encourage you to pick a side by your drink order: Dems drink Gin, Reps drink Vodka, and free thinkin independents drink Whiskey (but who drinks the Tequila?!)

MID-CITY SOUTH / WEST ADAMS
The Bistro on Pico /Viewing party starts at 5:30pm, specialty election cocktail will be served.
.
BEVERLY HILLS:
Il Cielo / Viewing party runs 6-9pm / Specialty $5 Red Romney & $5 Blue Oboama cocktails will be offered. They look cute, and anything for $5 at Il Cielo is a steal. Great excuse to check this romanteec spot out and ogle the politicos.
.
CENTURY CITY:
Pink Taco / Viewing party runs 5-11:00pm / Happy hour runs until 7 with half-priced drinks, $6 apps + they will have a set up for you to register to vote (how booze-aged people are not registered to vote yet, baffles us, but we love that Pink Taco is helping you amend that situation.) For details/to RSVP, click here.
